You can use the following tips to cut down your severe drinking problem, slowly you can stop drinking.
1. Replace your 'usual' drink with the one containing less alcohol
2. Go out later, so that you drink later
3. Atleast 2-3 alcohol free days in a week
4. Take non-alcoholic drinks
5. Fix an amount of alcohol for any occasion.
6. Get busy with other activities
