We all know that concerted effort usually produces results. Why? because there is force behind it. Mental force is something which is not possessed by every one but it can be developed through care and effort. The more the concentration greater the force. Visvamitra a renowened Indian Sage could create a parallel heaven through the power of concentration.
What ever work we perform physical or mental, it requires concentration to produce both proper retention in the memory and tangible results. Unfocused efforts do not produce the correct results. Remember the mind can only do one thing at a time. One young girl was once listening to music, when she came out of her room I asked her what she was doing, she had answered that she was studying for her exams. I had pointed out that music and study do not go togather, she insisted that she was used to it from the beganing of her acedmic career, and as and when her favourite musical numbers are playing she listens to them and it makes her mind relax. To proove my point I asked her what grade did she get in her career, she had hung her head and answered grade 2 and 3. Well she was a good girl, was not the pseudo liberated type, she was a homely girl with little outdooractivity, yet she did not do well in her academic career despite spending many hours at her books.
There are many people of all ages and gender who cannot concentrate hence so not do well both in studies as well as in the job. There are many reasons for lack of concentration, it can be physical or mental or both. Each particular case ( person)has to be treated on its merrit and reasons. It is like a clinical treatment. The reasons for lack of concentration have to be ascertained and remedied accordingly.
Those who suffer from this problem can contact me on this forum or otherwise. I am sure a little discipline and attention towards this important aspect of life will pay handsome dividends.
