Hi, I'm new to this yoga forum, but hope I can find the answers over here for my question. Can you tell me something about the Fish pose or Matsyasana, what are its benefits?

I shall be thankful to you.

Hi

This yoga asana benefits very much as it affects the cervical vertebrae, neck, solar plexus, thyroid gland and the skin. It eases your spine.

Fish pose or Matsyasana is a asana, which is very good for backache. The steps are as follows:
1. First you have to lie on the back and arms should be at your sides. Take a deep breath.
2. Make your back in an arch shape, tilt the head back, and place the top of head to the floor.
3. You can use your forearms and elbows for support you.
4. Breathe evenly and expand your chest as much as you can.
5. Be in the same position for several deep breaths, then slowly come back to the starting position.
6. Your breathing should be deep and slow.
