What is meditation and how it is helpful in stress relief?

Hi

Meditation is practiced to counteract stress, it makes a mind energetic and focuses the energies on a selected point - a word, a sound, or anything that evokes comfort. It is practiced in a calm, clean environment in a seated posture with the closed eyes. For practicing meditation, you have to choose a word like 'OM', then sit in a calm posture with closed eyes, relax your muscles, breathe slowly. Don't get disturbed by the thoughts that cause worry. You can continue this for 10 to 20 minutes, and don't stand immediately after your practice.
