Alcohol is bad both for the mind and body. It not only damages the brain cells but impairs the digestive system, it causes problems to the liver and damages the lining of the stomach, excessive consumtion damages the kidneys and is one of the main causes of liver cirrosis. Some allopathic doctors opine that limited consumption is not harmful to a human. In the ayurveda system all forms of consumption of alcohol is considered bad. It will not help the heart in any way, it is bad calories.
