Hi,

The best way to sleep is on your side with your knees bent. You can put a pillow under your head to support the neck. Always use firm mattresses. It best to sleep on a hard bed it is very good for maintainence of elastity of the spine and helps in relieving strain to the spinal column. One must sleep with the head South or the East. Remember earth has a magnetic field, so does a human body, if you sleep with head towards North, then like poles will repel, resultantly some defects or diseases to the body will occur.

I always sleep on my side but I don't know whether I sleep towards South or East. Hmm, I'm gonna figure it out. Thanks.

According to me Savasana is best position for sleeping.Sava" means "dead body" in Sanskrit. To practice this asana, one should lie motionless on the floor like as dead body in order to secure complete relaxation of all parts of his body and remove tensions, both physical and mental. This helps withdraw senses from their objects and makes concentration and meditation easy.
