Hi,

Post traumatic stress disorder is caused by life-threatening trauma, such a bad car accident, rape, etc. It's symptoms can similar to those of anxiety or depressive disorders, but with proper screening, the diagnosis is easily made. The patient is usually treated with Cognitive Therapy. The person can experiences again and again the symptoms such as intrusive recollections, nightmares, psychological distress, or flashbacks.
