Hi,

I have a trouble with sleeping because of stress and anxiety. I want to know what type of yoga one would suggest.

Sleeplessness can be due to many causes. Causes can be mental, emotional or physical. A balanced diet, physical exercise preferably yoga asanas, pranayama will give a person sound sleep at night. One should avoid late nights and overeating, they are bad for people who suffer from insomania. People who suffer from sleep problems should avoid mental stress in the evenings and learn to take to a bit of solitude and less talking. Even watching of TV etc should be restricted.
If one suffers from some particular ailment then it should be treated medically. However 50 deep breaths with closed eyes and with concentration on the flow of breath not allowing the mind to run on other objects will put to sleep many a patients of chronic insomania. Try it you will not be dissapointed. Anuloma Viloma pranayama practiced daily is also of great help.
