HI...........!!!!

I'm new to yoga, and its my first time that I'm asking any question about it. My friend told me that yoga helps a person to lose his weight, but I don't know how it is possible? Any comments?

Hi,

Yoga asanas stimulate the sluggish glands to increase the hormonal secretions that are effective in weight control, e.g. the thyroid gland has a big effect on our weight as it affects body metabolism. The asanas like shoulder stand and the fish posture are very effective for the thyroid gland.
