I hv heard about yoga's strenth of curing all kinds of diseases almost by not inhaling any medicine and i also want to start yoga for loosing weight but I am unsure about where to start. I'm wondering if it's better to take a class first so I can properly learn how to exercise without hurting myself.
Suggestion will be appreciated!

i cant tell about yoga rather then a useful tip that is if u want to loose wait, then you have to be careful about your diet. Firstly you have to maintain your diet chart and apply that diet in yoyr daily life atleast till then you couldnt achieve your goal of getting slim or loosing weight from your body. Its hard to do but this is the first basic step of controlling your diet.
You have to eat only nutritious and fat less meals every where you go like in the office or market also in other words i can say that you have to becom a calory concious person for achieving your aim. You can get your diet chart online also, so get started-goodluck.

Joining a gym or going on a diet are two ways that often a person think to achieve that goal, but not many think of yoga as an alternative.
However, Cindy and Bob Barton, owners of Three Rivers Yoga, 1022 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis, say yoga can not only help people lose weight and add definition, but it can change their lifestyles as well.
"It helps provide deep relaxation from inside and a peace within that can't be found at the gym. At the gym you can get all pumped up, but you don't find that peace."
And Cindy knows all about finding that peace. She says she had worked in the corporate world for many years. When she became ill, she had been the vice president of a company. She was suffering from chronic pain that affected both her muscles and joints, and says she had to find a way of dealing with it. She started yoga and found "so much joy and peace," that she left the corporate environment and began to teach the technique.
She says yoga works from the inside and flushes fresh blood through the organs, joints and muscles. Some types are good for the heart, and Cindy says Three Rivers Yoga has had classes for cardiac and cancer patients who have done "wonderfully."
It's also good for all over toning, and people do lose weight with yoga, but not because they go on a diet. Cindy says yoga works on a energetic level as well as a physical level allowing the participants to "let go of things that makes them want to eat more like stress and fear."
Cindy says she has seen yoga help people stop smoking and start eating healthy because they just feel so good after experiencing yoga. "With a diet, you don't change your patterns. Yoga does that just by the practice. It gets to the root of the problem."
