Hi!!

I?m a newbie to yoga, and I?m doing it for about 45 days. I practise it because of scoliosis and piriformis syndrome/ sciatic nerve pain. Earlier, I took drugs and then chiropractor, but yoga is the best of all. I really enjoy yoga classes, but I noticed that I can?t do all the poses of yoga asanas, because my arms are amazingly short. If I stretched them out five inches, I would still be off, and as result, it tickles down my back and legs having a bad posture. They are also double-jointed. I can?t make a complete pose. I tried a lot but can?t get any success.

Any helping comments?

Thanks,
Sarah

Hi

Your arms are not too short that you are thinking. It is very common for beginners because they don't have flexibility in certain areas of their body, and you are also a newbie. Don't think in negative way, and don't compare yourself with others. Just follow the instructions of your yoga teacher, and also focus on the alignment and your want to do. Your needs are different and special because of your structural problems. It would be better if you go for a diagnosis, and start that you really need.
